Uruguay Wine Dinner at Acacia in Richmond, VA

One of my favorite restaurants in Richmond, VA, Acacia mid-town, 2601 West Cary Street, will welcome Katie Dorzio of Michael Downey Selections to showcase the wines of Uruguay with 3 fabulous courses. This special wine dinner will be held on Wednesday, April 29th.

 

Here’s a look at the menu and wine pairing:

 

Fried Green Tomato, Hot Smoked Salmon Salad

Wine: Bodegas Carrau Tannat Rose Saignee

 

Flounder and Pink Grapefruit Ceviche with Shaved Radish, Jicama, Avocado, Cilantro and Yellow Peruvian pepper Sauce

Wine: Bodegas Carrau Sauvignon Blanc

 

Roasted Sablefish, Turnip Lyonnaise, Leek-Blue Cheese Sauce

Wine: Bodegas Carrau Chardonnay

OR

Grilled Sirloin Filet, Local Peas, Cippolini Onions, Berkshire Bacon, Diced Potatoes, Marsala Wine Sauce

Wine: Bodegas Carrau Pinot Noir
