On Friday, April 17th, the Milford Oyster House in Milford, NJ, will celebrate its semi-annual “Night of Champagne and Oysters.” On this occasion, Chef Ed Coss has decided to broaden the definition of Champagne to include some very interesting sparkling wines. Featured sparklers will be Szigeti sparkling Gruner Veltliner from Austria, Pearly Bay sparkling Chenin Blanc from South Africa, Black Chook sparkling Shiraz from Australia, and Dom Beritol Proseco. Also on the menu will be Chef’ Coss’s original creation: a Ginger Citrus Martini.
The “Night of Champagne and Oysters” will begin at 6:00 p.m. and will end when the oysters run out. Patrons who would like to sit in the dining room are encouraged to make reservations. Chef Coss will set up a raw bar in the game room, and guests are welcome to discuss the various oysters and pairings with him. All items are priced à la carte so that guests can build their own oyster experience.
